2KK Tulong sa Kapwa Kapatid Foundation (2KK) is a non-profit organisation made by the youth for the youth. We create sustainable communities through the education and empowerment of underprivileged children.
It was formed in 2003 after the Payatas landslide tragedy by group of teenagers from Metro Manila who decided to do small charitable activities every weekend with the children of Payatas. This included doing prayer, songs and games that embodied values, which eventually became the Kapatid (values formation) sessions. A few years later, our Kapatids expressed how they too, one day would want to go to university. Together, we brainstormed on how to fundraise for their education, and executing on their ideas, this was the start of the YAPAK (Yaman Ang Pag-Aralin ang Kabataan) scholarship program. Living by Mother Teresa's words "small things with great love", we has formed a strong relationship with the community, which has lasted for over 13 years. Our reach has now expanded to new communities in Escopa and Sampaloc. |

The mindset behind 2KK is the belief that through acts of kindness, no matter how small, great and lasting changes can be made.
We aspire to show the youth that there is hope despite the injustice, apathy and mediocrity that poverty has created. |
Our group's name is Kapatid because we believe that we are all brothers and sisters. We want to create an atmosphere of a true family for the kids, for them to have an 'ate' and a 'kuya', that they could call their "Kapatid".
