Meet our
YAPAK Beneficiaries

Yapak (Yaman ang Pag-aralin ang Kabataan) is the scholarship arm of 2KK. It focuses on raising funds through sponsorships for the
education of select children in Payatas, Smokey Mountain, Sampaloc, and Escopa. Through the generosity of fellow Filipinos, the
program aims to help the scholars receive the education they deserve in order to create a brighter future for themselves, their
families and ultimately, the nation. Their Yapak scholarship is supported with different types of effective life skills training, leadership
skills, and personal development workshops. Yapak now supports the educational needs of 75 scholars for 2018-2019, from
elementary to college. 2KK already has 6 college graduates that are practicing in the field of nursing, tourism, and the sciences.

"As a product of 2KK volunteer teaching and scholarship program, I really value education. This education makes me who I am now as a teacher who tries to empower my students. I know I have a long way to go in transforming my students, but little by little I hope I am making a difference."

- Kuya Jasper (YAPAK Graduate)

"As someone who is underprivileged, poverty can be your classroom,  but you are still the adviser to make a choice. Your perseverance is your pen and your dream is your paper. You can be what you want as long as you pursue it. Your family is your bulletin board and your achievements in life will fulfill them. As doing everything for sake of your family can always make sense."

- Ate Renaline (YAPAK Graduate)

"What we do in life, echoes in eternity. This is one of the many learning that I got as a YAPAK.  Always make a choice to help  out others as this act of kindness will  remain to the people you reached out forever. Now, I am working as a autoCAD Operator in Fabriquem Integrated Resources Inc. I am not just trying to make a living, but also make a difference to  the life of others through my works."

- Kuya Vic (YAPAK Graduate)

“Just because you took longer than others, doesn’t mean you failed. It was very long fight for me as a college student. However, I still made it. I am very thankful to 2KK volunteers and sponsors for helping me out to finish my studies. Now, I am a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
STI College - Fairview. It could never be possible without your help.”

Meet our
Kapatid Beneficiaries

Kapatid is the educational arm of 2KK. It focuses on organizing activities for over 120 children (an
average of 40 children per community) in our partner communities in Payatas, Smokey Mountain,
and Sampaloc – the Kapatid Holistic Formation Program. The Kapatid sessions are held weekly and
its primary focus is values formation. Volunteers (both students and young professionals) devote their
Saturday mornings and/or afternoons to spend time with the children (ages 7-12 years), teaching them,
getting to know them, and influencing them in positive ways.
