How to Get Involved

There are many ways that you can support 2KK, from sponsoring a scholar, to funding a workshop, your generosity will go a long way with 2KK. See below for more details.

SPONSOR A SCHOLAR

  • How does it work?
2KK’s YAPAK project provides disadvantaged Filipino youth with access to the education that they deserve through high school scholarships. The 2KK core team works closely with the scholars and their families to ensure that scholarship money is properly managed and that the scholars are maintaining grades above an 80% threshold.
  • How much does it cost?
PHP 3,500/year to sponsor a GRADE SCHOOL or a HIGH SCHOOL student
PHP 20,000/year to sponsor a COLLEGE student.
  • What is included?
Scholarship funds cover a full range of academic expenses such as tuition, books, school supplies, transportation, and uniforms.

SPONSOR A VALUES FORMATION SESSION

  • How does it work?
​2KK’s KAPATID project organizes bi-monthly tutorial sessions and activities for 120 disadvantaged children in Payatas, Escopa, and Sampaloc. The modular tutorial content is created by teaching professionals and is delivered by a team of volunteers. Modules are focused around values formation and life skills.
  • How much does it cost?
PHP 5,000 for one tutorial session in one community (40 kids) // PHP 15,000 for one tutorial session in all three communities (120 kids).
  • What is included?
By sponsoring a tutorial session, you will support 2KK to cover costs such as venue rental, transportation, food, and teaching materials.

SPONSOR A WORKSHOP

  • How does it work?
2KK supplements the bi-monthly tutorial sessions with custom workshops. These workshops enrich the learning and development of the beneficiaries on a variety of topics from personal finance, to personal development, to leadership skills, to emotional intelligence, and more.
  • How much does it cost?
Typical cost will be approximately PHP 3000 to organize a workshop for 10 participants. Cost will vary depending on topic and scale of the workshop. ​
  • What is included?
By sponsoring a workshop, you will support 2KK to cover costs such as venue rental, speaker/trainer fees, food, teaching materials, and transportation.
