WHAT MAKES THE KAPATID PROGRAM SO SPECIAL?
This program was developed to give children a holistic educational experience. Through the help of professional teachers who make the lessons/modules, we teach kids not only academics, but also the Five Loves of Kapatid and other life lessons necessary for emotional growth and development. We, as their Ate and Kuyas, strive to make them model citizens of this country and the bright hope for its future.

8:00-8:15 - Meet up & orientation at UP Diliman, Palma Hall steps 8:30-9:00 - Travel time to Community 9:00-9:30 - Registration / Prayer / Greetings 9:30-10:30 - Tutorial Proper & activities 10:30-10:45 - Evaluation with the kids 10:45-11:00 - Lunch 11:00-11:30 - Clean Up / Prayer / Picture / Closing 11:40 - Depart from Community 12:00 - Back at UP, Diliman PM SCHEDULE 1:00-1:15 - Meet up & orientation at UP Diliman, Palma Hall steps 1:30-2:00 - Travel time to Community 2:00-2:30 - Registration / Prayer / Greetings 2:30-3:30 - Tutorial Proper & activities 3:30-3:45 - Evaluation with the kids 3:45-4:00 - Lunch 4:00-4:30 - Clean Up / Prayer / Picture / Closing 4:40 - Depart from Community 5:00 - Back at UP, Diliman |
1. Establish a relationship with your partner kid during the event. Interesting topics to talk about are:
- The weather
- The 1st thing they did during the day
- Who their closest friend is
2. Use some of these phrases when engaging the kids to talk:
- Kwento ka naman tungkol sa…
- Paano…
- Ilarawan mo naman…
3. Ask how your kid liked the experience at the end of the event. A helpful question is: Anong pinakanagustuhan mo sa araw na ito?
4. Take photos and video of the kid while he/she is interacting with other people, with his/her permission. Send these to [email protected].
5. Reflect on what you’ve seen, what you’ve felt, and what you learned from the event.
